C2-K BEAM PROFILE COMPARISON

The chart at the bottom of this post should answer questions we've received regarding the throw/effective distance of the C2-K. The C2-K, represented by the blue line in the chart below, carries enough intensity to maintain a throw distance within very near range of our two H (High Power) model lights. To the naked eye the throw distance differential is not discernable. In fact, the widened beam angle and reduced falloff combined with more natural light color will allow for better visual acuity on the trail. We've also included below shots showing beam pattern, color, and intensity to better illustrate the C2-K's superior beam color and pattern. You can also see the MTBR Pro reviews for backyard shots http://www.mtbr.com/beamcomparisoncrx.aspx that show the C2-K as compared to other LED lights available. We think you'll like what you can see with the C2-K.

In plain speak we've doubled the width of the beam with considerable more graduated falloff so the trail is flooded with warm daylight like light from LED's that are not over driven.

C2-K BEAM PATTERNS COMPARISON

We've been busy around here filling pre-orders on the new C2-K and stuffing ourselves with turkey over the holidays so we are a bit late getting the beam patterns on the new C2-K up but trust me the wait is well worth it. For comparison we have also loaded up the beam patterns of our C2-H and Jeni-H lights. As you will see we have tripled the size of the center beam area and reduced falloff significantly. On the photos below we have marked the degrees angle of the beam for reference, you will see on the C2-K that the center beam extends out to roughly 15 degrees before you can see some falloff and from there the light follows a very smoothly graded fade.

Those of you who are looking for reviews on the new light should be able to find one available on the MTBR Shootout Review area soon. Once we hear the review is up we will provide a link.

C2-K 1000 Lumen Lights in Production!

The C2-K 1000 lumen lights are now in production, and the first production units will be ready to ship November 25, 2008. Orders placed after November 23 will be shipped following the Thanksgiving holiday.

This weekend we are shooting the beam pattern, and will hopefully have those and some run time charts up on the blog and the site by Monday. Until then, here is sneak peak of few bodies on the bench in QC.

These things are so bright, and allow for amazing depth perception. I can't wait to upgrade my C2-E to one of these hotties! It's always customers first around here though, so I won't get my chance at an upgrade till later.

What upgrade? The upgrade you can get if you have a C2 unit already! Yup, we want our customers to have the best available technology without laying down the mula for a whole new light every time something new is available. The upgrade is just $100, and the upgrade is easy. Just contact us and return your light for a sweet upgrade to 800-1000 lumens (depending on your C2 unit) and get your light back in just 10 days! The upgrade is available for all C2 units nomatter how old!
